This antique English Georgian style hall stand and costumer in solid mahogany comes from the collection of Roni Steinberg Sokoloff, and resided in her former 60-acre estate in Bedford NY known as Cantitoe Farms. (It is just down the road from Martha Stewart's estate of the same name.) The stand was purchased by Ms. Sokoloff in the 1980s from Stan Mirkin of Red Crow Antiques in Scotts Corner, Pound Ridge, NY. It measures 51" high, 22.25" wide and 11" deep. It was appraised in 1992 for $1,200 by Anton Rudert Jr. Appraisals (30 East 42nd St, NY NY 10017), a Senior Member of the American Society of Appraisers. Overall condition is very good. <BR>
