We are pleased to offer a magnificent silver Old Sheffield serving dish.

This important piece is made up of three pieces (please see picture): a dome with handle, a base with provision for hot water with two handles, and a cover for the hot water base.

In this period there was no electroplating and silver was roled on copper to form this truly wonderful piece.

This piece dates from the first quarter of the 19th century, and is a terrific example. It is marked D*S which we believe represents Dixon and Sons in Sheffield, United Kingdom.

There is very minor bleeding on the handled dome portion.
