Important French painter (1882–1963) who, along with Picasso, was one of the seminal figures in the development of Cubism. Endorsement signature, “G. Braque,” at the bottom of a TLS to Braque, in French, from editor Jacques Damase, 8 x 10.25, dated January 22, 1951. Damase asks for Braque’s signature at the bottom for his approval on a book and mentions a payment of 50,000 francs. In fine condition, with central horizontal and vertical fold, and a bit of mild edge toning.
