Signed book: Porgy and Bess, An Opera in Three Acts. Limited signed first edition of 250 copies (this being no. 129). NY: Random House, 1935. Hardcover with slipcase, 9.75 x 13, 559 pages. Signed on the limitations page by George Gershwin, Ira Gershwin, librettists Dubose Heyward, and director Rouben Mamoulian. In fine condition, with scattered light wear and dings to covers, moderate soiling to spine, a bit of light spotting to back pastedown, and missing the leather label on the front panel. Slipcase also rates fine with some scattered light surface wear. Overall, in much better condition then most of these copies that have survived. A scarce and very desirable pairing!
