<B>George W. Roosevelt Document Signed as U. S. Consul in Brussels</B></I> “<I>Geo. W. Roosevelt</B></I>”. One page, 8.25” x 7.25”, on printed document with United States Consulate letterhead, dated August 8, 1884, paper toned with age, the usual fold creases, else very good condition. Attached to the document is a handwritten list of the goods that are being declared. Besides his consular service, George Washington Roosevelt (1843-1907) also had a distinguished army career during the Civil War. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for action during the Battle of Bull Run.
