Uncommon TLS as president, one page, 6.75 x 9, White House letterhead, January 24, 2002. Letter of condolence to David Easlick, Jr. Easlick spent 25 years as the Executive Director of Delta Kappa Epsilon, a fraternity founded at Yale in 1844. Five presidents have been members of DKE, including Bush. In full: “Laura and I were saddened to learn of the loss of Susan. We know what a difficult time this is for you and your family, and we send our heartfelt sympathy. Please know that you are in our prayers. We hope you will be sustained by your faith and the love and support of your family and friends.” In fine condition. A very personal letter from the sitting president, who served as his chapter’s president during his senior year at Yale.
