Original 2.5 x 4 carte-de-visite portrait by Notman of Montreal, signed in the lower border in black ink, and signed and inscribed on the reverse, “Mrs. Julia M. Friend, from Geo. Thompson, Roxbury, Feb. 27, 1867.” In fine condition, with light scattered foxing.
