Highly coveted World War II-dated glossy 7.5 x 9.5 U.S. Army Signal Corps photograph of George S. Patton, which depicts ‘Old Blood and Guts’ in battle uniform wearing his helmet with three-star insignia, field glasses around his neck, and his famous ivory-handled revolver stowed in his waist holster. Signed neatly above in fountain pen, “G. S. Patton, Jr.,” and the lower left corner bearing the Signal Corps photo marking. Impressively displayed in its original ‘Three Star’ sterling silver desk frame to an overall size of 9.25 x 11.5. In very good to fine condition, with scattered creasing, small surface impressions, and a couple faint vertical bends. A superb item, and one of the nicest Patton signed pieces any collector could ever hope to find.
