In the first panel, Superboy even helps the Raider to escape! Later, at a press conference, Superboy stands by while the Chief of Police gives a news conference to discuss the situation. George Papp's thick, loose lines put the image down in a strong, direct way. There's an innocent feel to these panels, and the inkwork is impeccable. The overall page size is 14" x 20.5" with an image area of 13" x 18". The art is in remarkably good condition, with very little aging apparent. The letterer misspelled the word "raider" throughout the page and there are blue line indications by the editor, for the words to be re-written. A sensational Silver Age Superboy page. <B>Estimate: $800-up</B> </FONT></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><BR><!--<a name="PricesRealized"></a> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" bgcolor="#000000"> <tr> <td width="100%"> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="3"> <tr> <td width="100%" bgcolor="#79735C"> <a name="PR"> <font face="arial" size="3" color="#FFFFFF"> <b>Previous Prices from Heritage Auctions</b> </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#F6F6ED"> No Prior Data Recorded </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#FFFFFF"> <font face="arial" size="1""> PLEASE NOTE: All prices realized reflect the final hammer price PLUS the buyer's premium in auctions that charge a buyer's premium. On occasion eBay live bid software cannot keep up with the pace of the auctions where 4-5 lots per minute can hammer down, so we recommend that you place a realistic absentee bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment.
