6 items total. Three vintage 8 in. x 10 in. black and white production stills from replacement animation pioneer George Pal’s films of the 1940s. This lot includes, The Gay Knighties (1941) showing Jim Dandy sitting in his living room as he dreams of being Sir Archibald Cornwal Dandy, a wandering troubadour, who meets an ogre on a deserted road and charms him with his lute.  Together with (3) 10 ½ x 13 ½ in. prints (on 16 x 20 in. boards) of Together in the Weather (1946), a portrait of Judy who lives in a fair-weather clock.  Hoola Boola (1941) “Sarong Sarong” and a group of natives march.  Variety Girl (1947) Mary Hatcher sits on the edge of a George Pal set holding a Puppetoon used in the feature. The stop motion film, Romeo and Juliecat was part of a live action sequence where the stars overdub the voices and sound effects in real time to the projected Puppetoon.  Gary Cooper, Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, Pearl Bailey, Burt Lancaster and Veronica Lake, to name a few, had cameo or speaking roles in this all star Paramount, comedy ensemble.
