American playwright, songwriter, and actor (1878–1942), widely regarded as the father of American musical comedy, who takes a place among the most beloved entertainers of his era. Vintage glossy 6.75 x 4.75 photo of Cohan at a piano singing a song, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To ASCAP’s Sylvia, All good wishes for a nice little lady, Sincerely, George M.,” adding “Cohan at piano,” in the middle of the inscription. Scattered creases and surface marks and trimmed edges, otherwise fine condition.
