Silver finished blade front and notch rear sights with "G. KOPP" on the top flat, drum bolster, double set triggers, and an engraved bird scene at the rear of the "JOSEPH GOLCHER" lock plate. Brass tipped stock, with a wooden ramrod, brass trigger guard, a heart-shaped German silver inscription panel on the wrist, oval patch box, raised cheekpiece and a smooth buttplate. Consignor notes state that George Kopp operated out of Geeseytown, Blair County, Pennsylvania, with this arm dating circa 1850.

Condition: Very good, with a dark brown patina overall, lighter on the lock plate, with pitting around the drum and scattered handling marks. Stock is very good, with some cracks, filler around the lock and scattered scratches and dents. Mechanically good.
