George Iv (1762-1830) King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and king of Hanover (1820-30); between 1811-1820, he served as Prince Regent during periods of time when his father, George III, became mentally incapacitated. Document signed as King ("George R"), 9¼ x 14 in., on laid paper, 15 April 1822. Granting to Navy Captain Lewis Beaufort and William Beaufort of Cork an annuity in trust of £100 for Louisa Catherine Beaufort. Small edge splits, not affecting the huge bold signature at top or the blind seal at lower left.
