Rated R6 (3 to 5 known), this is an exceedingly rare specimen, made for the record (often called a Proof of Record) after the Act of Union of 1800 called for the making of such specimens for preservation in museums. Sharp as a tack in strike, with lovely old reddish gold toning and some obverse field porosity, this beauty is PR64 CAM PCGS Terner Registry. In his 22 years of active collecting of this series, Dr Terner was never presented with more than a single chance to obtain this Proof issue--this very piece.
