Uncommon color race program for the British Formula One Grand Prix at the Silverstone Circuit on July 12-14, 1979, 6 x 8.25, thirty-two pages, signed on the designated autograph page on the inside of the back cover in blue ballpoint by George Harrison and Jackie Stewart. In fine condition, with some wear and a diagonal crease to top left edge of signed page, broaching end of Harrison. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from the original recipient, in part: "Growing up in Northampton, Silverstone was my local race track and I would often go to race meetings there with my friend Simon...I was 20 years old when we went to this particular Grand Prix. Whilst I don't remember much about the race itself I do remember that at the end of the race we blagged our way into the paddock...We were happily strolling around looking at cars when we came across the Ford Hospitality unit...we spotted Jackie Stewart and right alongside him George Harrison just about to emerge from the fenced off bit. [We] approached them both and asked them to sign our programmes. They were both incredibly polite...I did consider keeping hold of it but I have been its custodian for the last 37 years...I have the memory that I met a Beatle and a World Champion." Stewart won three Formula One World Driving Championships-the 1969 and 1973 Italian Grand Prixs, and the 1971 Austrian Grand Prix. Pre-certified REAL.
