Vintage matte-finish photo, inscribed in fountain pen, ''For John Pritchett - Sincerest & Best Wishes, George Gershwin Nov. 30, '31.'' 10'' x 8'' photo is in very good condition, with silvering moving in from the edges, scattered soiling, and a brush to his last name. Pritchett, the photo's original recipient, was a fellow pianist who performed Gershwin's works, composed a series of musicals performed in London's West End, and was resident musical director at the Theatre Royal, Windsor. A unique pairing of two like-minded musicians.
