ALS, two pages both sides, 6.5 x 9, Saratoga Springs letterhead, August 3, 1920. Handwritten letter to Don Seitz of the New York World regarding an editorial, in part:" I must write of my great satisfaction with the lending Editorial in today's World. It is splendid…The emphasis with which it places Harding in the place he has shown is the limit of his capacity is fine—and the call to Cox to show what is in him is stirring. It will be a long time I fear before we can accustom ourselves to the loss of President Wilson's powerful intellectuality based as it is on vast knowledge of real history. I cannot share the note of hopefulness as to the RR problem…if Harding should be chosen one of the principal occupations of the Senatorial Cabal—a new and modern edition of the Doges of Venice I think will be executing the orders to make the money control of the RR situation." In fine condition.
