Original 4 x 6.5 cabinet photo by Chute and Brooks of Buenos Aires, signed on the reverse in black ink, “Sincerely yours, G. E. Wingate, Lt. Comdr, U. S. Navy, U.S.S. Brooklyn 1883.” Mild foxing to image and moderate contrast to last couple of lines of Wingate’s writing, otherwise fine condition.
