American admiral (1837–1917) best known for his fabled victory at the Battle of Manila Bay during the Spanish-American War. Two items: vintage 4 x 5.5 cabinet photo of Dewey, signed in black ink, “George Dewey”; and an ink signature, “George Dewey, Admiral of the Navy, 7th June /07,” on an off-white 8 x 6 album page. Trimmed lower edge and silvering to photo, and some light edge toning and one rough edge to signature, otherwise fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
