DS, signed “George Cukor” and "E. J. Mannix," one page, 8.5 x 11, June 21, 1935. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer agreement by which Cukor, for a period of seven weeks, promises "to devote approximately one-half of your time to the preparation of our photoplay now entitled 'Romeo and Juliet,'" with a provision allowing him to also provide "services for RKO Studios, Inc., in connection with one photoplay in which Miss Hepburn is to appear." Signed at the conclusion in fountain pen by Cukor and Mannix. In fine condition.

An interesting and desirable document concerning two of Cukor's films: Sylvia Scarlett, starring Katharine Hepburn and Cary Grant, released by RKO in 1935; and a screen adaptation of William Shakespeare's enduring Romeo and Juliet, starring Leslie Howard and Norma Shearer, released by MGM in 1936.
