ALS signed “Geo: Clinton,” one page, 7.75 x 9.5, November 22, 1801. Letter to Zephaniah Platt. In part: “I immediately on the receipt of your letter by General Woolsey and without waiting to know the contents of the one from you to Mr. Fred. Bailey on the subject of our dispute I wrote to him…To this he has not commented.” Addressed on the reverse of the second integral page in Clinton’s hand. In fine condition. Accompanied by an engraved portrait bearing a facsimile signature.
