Dated 13 October 1988 and composed on official Vice Presidential seal note card, Bush writes to former Hearst newspaper editor Joseph Kingsbury-Smith regarding his debates with Dukakis. In part: “...Many thanks for your latest. I appreciate your sharing Bill Hearst’s column, 'A Dull Debate.' The pace has been hectic, but I am more determined than ever to win! Warm regards George Bush.” Measures 6.5” x 4.25”. Secretarial pencil marks to verso. Excellent condition.
