ALS signed “G. Bernard Shaw,” on a 3.5 x 5.5 postcard, December 9, 1904. Letter to W. H. Wright, Jr. In full: “I see no immediate prospect of my being able to undertake a lecturing tour in the United States. It would be a very laborious undertaking for me and I should have to address aspects seriously to much larger problems than the usual literary lecturer deals with.” Shaw has also addressed the reverse of the postcard. In fine condition, with uniform toning to postcard, postmark over a couple words of text, horizontal crease above signature, and a few stray postmarks.
