ALS, signed “BB,” one page, 8.25 x 11, no date. Baker writes to his longtime companion Suzanne LaFrance. In part: “That is all set to keep working on the book. Not much change on that day by day. Just six more pages than yesterday - but in a few more weeks they’ll add up.” At the bottom of the letter, Baker has added an original ink and felt tip sketch of an artist painting the ticklish feet of a sculpture. In fine condition, with punch holes to left edge and some light ink transfer from sketch to center of letter. Accompanied by an original unsigned felt tip sketch of LaFrance on an off-white 11.5 x 18 sheet.
