Cartoonist (1915–1975) who became prominent during World War II as the creator of the popular comic strip, The Sad Sack. Two original sketches of Sad Sack each placed on the picture side of a postcard, one showing him as George Washington crossing the Delaware and the other bathing in front of Rockefeller Center, and each addressed by Baker and signed “George” on the opposite side beneath a brief ANS. In very good condition, with mild soiling to correspondence side and light creases and postal impressions to image side.
