<B>George Armstrong Custer Autograph Note Signed.</B></I> Signed: <I>G.A. Custer Brig. General U.S.A,</B></I> two pages, 7.75" x 9.75", np, May 3, 1874. Scourge of the Shenandoah during the Civil War, and bane of the Sioux in later years, the self-absorbed Custer would meet his end at Little Bighorn many years after penning this note. The note is written on a copy of a telegram sent about a Dr. Hart. Custer writes to Hart informing him that his request for changing assignments could not be changed. In very fine condition; usual folds are present; light overall toning; water damage visible in the lower right quadrant; tape present on the verso, not affecting text.
