Outfit comprised of a light blue vest and dark periwinkle pants, worn on screen by George Arliss in his role as Nathan Rothschild in the 1934 film The House of Rothschild. The vest has a light blue diamond-patterned front with a cream-colored satin back and lining, with a United Costumers tag sewn in the back, marked "Mr. Geo. Arliss." The woolen pants have a similar United Costumers tag sewn into the waistband, also marked "Mr. Geo. Arliss." In very good to fine condition, with fraying to the left shoulder blade of the vest, and some staining to the pants. Chronicling the rise of the Rothschild family of European bankers, The House of Rothschild was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture.
