Only four notes are known from here, with the Loegler example, also a $10 Brown Back, selling for $11,500 against a pre-sale estimate of $6000-9000. This example, which we sold to Frank Kennedy in our January, 2001 sale, is even nicer than the Loegler note (which we sold as well.) It is a lovely Brown Back which exudes eye appeal, with bright paper and ink and wonderful two color pen signatures. It's cut a bit close at the bottom right, as are all of the notes we've seen from here, but this is the most minor of defects on an example of this quality. Extremely Fine, a note fit for the finest of Alabama collections.
