two maps of Indian reservations. First is Map of the Cheyenne & Arapahoe Reservation...showing lands to be opened for settlement on April 19, 1892 ... 28 x 39.5". Rivers are hand-colored; districts hand-blocked and lettered. Each area has information about Native inhabitants: Arapahoes in red, Cheyennes in black. For example, in District 3: Arapahoes: 327, Head Men: White Snake, White Buffalo, Tall Bear. Green notations for Co. C, D, E, F, G, H, Canad[ian]. Co., and Kingfisher Co. with boundaries. County C is today Blaine, D is Dewey, G is Custer, H is Washita, E is part of Ellis and F is Roger Mills. A few areas of erasures and re-lettering.

Second map is General Land Office Indian Territory 1891. Compiled and drawn by R.P. Lowe; photolithographed & printed by Julius Bien & Co. 28.5 x 32". Colored outlines of "Five Civilized Tribes'" Oklahoma Territories: Cherokee, Creek, Seminole, Chickasaw and Choctaw.

Condition: Land Rush map with small holes at folds, minor toning. This was a working map and shows it. Second is in better shape with expected folds and toning.
