General Roy Geiger typed letter signed, dated 26 April 1945. Geiger writes from the Headquarters of the III Amphibious Corps, which he commanded during the Battle of Okinawa, the largest amphibious assault in the Pacific during World War II. He signs, ''Roy S Geiger'', thanking a Mr. Sandquist for offering to send news clippings. Tape residue to 6.25'' x 9.25'' single page letter and accompanying front panel of envelope with Naval Censor stamp. Very good.
