<B>General Richard Taylor Document Signed</B></I> "<I>R. Taylor.</B></I>" One page, 6.8" x 3.5", St. Charles Parish, Louisiana, December 27, 1855. Richard Taylor, son of President Zachary Taylor, with his Louisiana brigade, served General Stonewall Jackson and the Army of Northern Virginia as an elite strike force in the Shenandoah Valley campaign. He was promoted to Lt. General and later served as Commander of the Departments of Mississippi and Alabama. Taylor signs this promissory note for the amount of $100 dollars. <BR><BR>The document is in very good condition; usual folds are present; smudging present on the signature; edges are slightly worn.
