General Oliver O. Howard Autograph Letter Signed “O. O. Howard”. One page, 4.25” x 5.5”, Burlington, Vermont, June 12, 1903, in ink. Oliver Otis Howard (1830-1909) was a career U.S. Army officer whose career stretched from the Seminole Wars through the Civil War and the Indian Wars. The letter is probably in response to a request for a photograph and reads in full: “Dear Mr. Gallup:/ With pleasure I comply with your modest request.” Lending credence to the fact that the Mr. Gallup requested a picture is image of Howard in uniform that has ghosted on the text. Otherwise the letter is in very good condition.

Shipping: Flat Material, Small (view shipping information)
