Union General John Pope undated autograph letter signed. 5'' x 8'' 4 page card style letter to Colonel Elwell S. Otis, USV, reads: ''...My dear Colonel / Mrs Pope and I will be very glad if you will dine with us tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon at 3:30 o'c to meet Genl Sherman / Truly yours John Pope''. The accompanying 5.75'' x 9'' lithograph of General Pope in his Civil War uniform features his printed signature. Letter shows paste residue and expected folds; lithograph shows overall toning and tape residue. Overall in very good condition.
