CSA General Isaac Trimble Signed Book Major General Trimble was a favorite of Stonewall Jackson's. Wounded in Pickett's charge at Gettysburg, he was captured and held a prisoner of the North until February of 1865. Rare copy of The Constitution of the State of Maryland published in Baltimore by John Murphy & Co. in 1862, 8vo, 71 pages and tipped in advertisement for an edition of The Maryland Code published in January of 1863. This copy was owned by General Trimble during the War and is signed by him on the title page, with an indication of his CSA affiliation: "I. R. Trimble, C.S.A. Army". Good, front free endpaper loose, spine edges slightly frayed. General Trimble, born in Virginia, built his fortune in the railroad industry in Maryland, and retired to Baltimore following his release in 1865. This is a unique and interesting book from his personal library.
