William Henry, Jr. McClellan turns down a dinner invitation with the 1st New Jersey Brigade. It reads in part: <B><I>"…I trust that I need not assure you that my heart is ever with the Army of the Potomac and my true love in its midst…will you gratify me by proposing at the dinner in my name "the brave 1st New Jersey Brigade - It is an honor ever to the proud Army of the Potomac.
