<B>General Anthony C. McAuliffe Signature</B></I> "<I>A. C. McAuliffe</B></I>" on a small 3.5" x 1.75" slip mounted to a card. He has added "<I>Nuts</B></I>" above his name. This is in reference to the famous reply he sent to a German commander in December 1944 in response to a demand for surrender. McAuliffe (1898-1975) later said in an interview that his initial reply was a bit stronger in language (but also four letters in length).
