The jacket, its leather still handsome, its buttons and zippers still shiny, and the Harley-Davidson trademark tag still preserved in the inside collar, has had a colorful history of its own -- having been on exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, The Beatles Story Museum in Liverpool, England, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland, where Vincent was posthumously inducted in 1998. Documentation for these exhibits comes with the jacket -- 12 laminated pages (including an insurance form from Lloyd's of London), all providing outstanding provenance and giving testimony to power of Vincent's enduring legacy.
