Unusual 7.25 x 5.25 FDC from the personal collection of Gene Cernan featuring six affixed postage stamps designed by noted space artist Robert McCall, signed and inscribed on the front in blue ballpoint, “To my dear friend Gene Cernan, with admiration and special thanks on the day of the docking in space, July 17, 1975, of Apollo and Soyuz, Bob McCall,” drawing a sketch of the spacecraft below. Also signed between the stamps with his formal signature, “Robert F. McCall.” Additionally signed on the front cover in blue ballpoint, “From my Personal Collection, Gene Cernan.” In fine condition.
