Gene Cernan's flown sterling silver Skylab 2 (SLM-1) Robbins medal, approximately 1.25? in diameter, with a raised mission insignia design on the face, and the reverse engraved with the Skylab station launch date of May 14, 1973, the crew launch date of May 25, 1973, and the crew return date of June 22, 1973. Serial numbered "F17" on the edge. Condition is mint state. Accompanied by its original matching case, which is cracked on one side, and by a letter of authenticity signed by Cernan, who states that he received the medal “shortly after the successful completion of the mission from the Astronaut Flight Office and it has been in a part of my personal collection since then.”
