Two items: an early TLS from Gene Cernan, one page, 8 x 10.5, NASA letterhead, January 29, 1970, addressed to Johnny Habenchus, in part: "In answer to your first question, I can't remember any specific boyhood idol. I did follow college and professional sports and the men involved. My present assignment is backup Commander on Apollo 14, soon there after I hope to receive an assignment to a prime crew for a future lunar mission. The answer to you final question is no. There is no club of astronauts called 'Turtles'"; and a color semi-glossy 10 x 8 photo of Cernan inside the Lunar Module Challenger during the Apollo 17 mission, signed in black felt tip, "The last man on the moon…Gene Cernan, Apollo XVII." In overall fine condition. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Novaspace for the photograph.
