<B>General Ebenezer Huntington Letter to Major General Noah Phelps.</B></I> One page, 7.5” x 12”, Norwich, July 2, 1798, to Major General Noah Phelps, Symsbury. A letter written from one notable Revolutionary War officer to another. It reads in part: “<I>I am directed by his Excellency…to inclose sic the written order to you, to be communicated to the divisions under your command.</B></I>” General Huntington served with the First and Third Connecticut Regiments and served until discharged in 1800. As a captain during the Revolutionary War, Noah Phelps, acting as a spy was able to gather intelligence which allowed General Ethan Allen to take Fort Ticonderoga. The letter is toned but the ink is bright, with the usual fold creases, else near fine. <I>From the collection of Henry E.
