Editor: Major O.L. Haines, Cavalry. Volume XXXVII, Number 153, October 1928 . (Washington, D.C.: The United States Cavalry Association, 1928). Quarterly magazine. Quarto (10” x 6.5”). Color printed wrappers. A bit of typical wear to wrappers, with slight loss, wrappers lightly soiled and with other pen and pencil notes on the front. Godfrey was an Army soldier who commanded Company K, 7th Cavalry Regiment, under Custer at the Battle of the Little Bighorn. Contains Godfrey's reminiscences on Custer and the Washita Battle. The General's ink stamp address is at the beginning of the article. A fine Custer Association item. Rare.
