Rare The Flight Times newspaper from August 9, 1963, 11 x 14, 12 pages, featuring a large image of the Gemini astronauts during desert training at the USAF Survival School at Stead Air Force Base, Nevada, signed on the image in blue ballpoint by Neil Armstrong, Elliot See, Edward White II, John Young, Frank Borman, James McDivitt, Charles Conrad, James Lovell, and Tom Stafford. In very good condition, with uniform toning, edges frayed and folded over, and several crudely repaired tears (one passing diagonally through the image, affecting a single letter in See’s signature). Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from JSA. The astronauts all underwent this training to learn survival techniques in the event of an emergency or faulty landing in a remote area. A rare combination of NASA’s early astronauts.
