Two pieces of the Gemini 11 Launch Vehicle, recovered from the Atlantic Ocean on 13 September 1966. The Titan Gemini Launch rocket lifted astronauts Pete Conrad and Richard Gordon into orbit during their September mission before falling back to earth. These remnants of the rocket's Stage 1, encased in protective plastic, are mistakenly identified with the names of astronauts Gordon and Cooper. An LOA from the Trustee of the Estate of Marion Linn Letsch, wife of NASA aerospace engineer Ernst Letsch, verifies their origin. Near fine.
