DS, fourteen pages, 8.5 x 11, September 13, 1950. Document from the 20th Century-Fox Film Corporation outlining the terms of Cooper's contract "in connection with the portrayal of the role of 'Lt. John Harkness' in our production now tentatively entitled 'The Flying Teakettle.'" Signed at the conclusion in blue ballpoint by Cooper. In fine condition. The screenplay for You're in the Navy Now was based on the article 'The Flying Teakettle' by John W. Hazard, printed in The New Yorker on January 21, 1950. The film was called U.S.S. Teakettle in its initial release, but it was retitled when it failed to gain an audience.
