Gallagher patent carbine manufactured by Richardson & Overman of Philadelphia, 50 cal percussion, breech loader, 22-1/4” barrel, in good original condition, serial #8870. Refer Flayderman 9B-052. The metal surfacesshow traces of original finish drifting to patina with some scattered light to moderate erosion and pinprick pitting. The markings on the lock are well defined; the stock is good with normal wear, no visible cartouche,a couple impressions, dings, mars and a carved initial “H” at left center butt stock. Good overall with near excellent bore. From an old N.Y. collector’s estate. Est.;$1,000-$2,000.
