"Gail Symon Holds Gotham Solo Show," Sunday Herald, April 17, 1949, page 28, which says “the Silvermine artist opens her third big-city show at the Harry Salpeter Gallery, 36 W 56th St., New York City, on April 25. Gail’s last Manhattan exhibit was held in the spring of 1947. She left, soon afterward, to spend six months in California. Her show includes work done in the last two years … She is a member of the Audubon Artists, the New Haven Paint and Clay Club, the California Water Color Society, and director of the Silvermine Guild School of Art.”
