Gabriel Weyer (Weier, Wyer) (1576-Nuremberg-1632) Two drawings, a) An altar scene with three figures, pen and brown ink, brush and grey wash, on paper, 13.7 x 18.1 cm, laid down, rather stained, mounted, b) Saint Peter, retouched signature at lower right, pen and brown ink, brown wash, over indications in lead, on paper, 8 x 11.5 cm, laid down, some foxing, collector's mark, mounted, compare Ewald Jeuter: Gabriel Weyer, news bulletin of the Germanisches Nationalmuseum, Nuremberg, 1997, (GL). Gabriel Weyer was active as an artist in Nuremberg and in 1613 worked together with Paul Juvenel the Elder, Georg Gärtner the Elder and Jobst Harrich on the redecoration of the northern wall in the Nuremberg town hall.
