Gabreski was the top American fighter ace during World War II in Europe, credited with 28 victories in the P-47 Thunderbolt. Zemke was the Assistant Military Attache to Russia who taught the Soviets how to fly P-40s and served as CO of 56th FG “Zemkes Wolfpack” the top scoring unit in WWII with 665 kills over Europe. Limited edition 17 x 11 print entitled of a Republic P-47D thunderbolt, numbered #60/1000, signed in pencil by Gabreski and in black felt tip by Zemke. Also signed in black felt tip by the artist, Joe Milich. Double matted and framed with four photos, to an overall size of 29 x 21.5. In very fine condition. Oversized. RRAuction COA.
