GWR brass TENDERPLATE engraved "Great Western Railway Company 1740 Swindon Works 1907" and stamped "3500 Gallons". Oval, 111/4"x81/4", lightly polished. As carried by the tender attached initially to "Saint Benedict"; then to "Knight of the Bath"; "Ashton Court"; "Saint George"; "Fawley Court"; and "Roumanian Monarch" amongst others. It was cut up in 1959.
